This statement covers the Actaa marketing website at actaa.ai. The Actaa product at one.actaa.ai is a separate application and is not covered here.
01 Our Commitment
Nomisma LLC intends the Actaa website to be usable by everyone, including people who browse with a keyboard alone, with a screen reader, at high zoom, with reduced motion enabled, or with low vision or colour-vision deficiency.
We treat accessibility as a property of the build rather than an afterthought. Where we fall short we would rather say so on this page than leave it unsaid.
02 The Standard We Target
The website targets WCAG 2.1 Level AA. That is the level referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act in United States practice, by the Unruh Civil Rights Act in California, and by EN 301 549 in Europe.
03 What We Have Done
- Contrast. Every piece of text on the site was measured against the colour actually behind it, resolving translucent layers and gradients. Body and interface text meets the 4.5:1 minimum; large display text meets 3:1. The section labels and the caption tier were both darkened in August 2026 because measurement showed they did not.
- Text size. Reading copy is never below 16.5px, mono labels never below 12.5px, and every size on the site comes from one seven-step scale. Text resizes with the browser and reflows without horizontal scrolling.
- Reduced motion. The site honours
prefers-reduced-motion. Scroll animation, smooth scrolling, the film-grain surface, the background video loops and all parallax stop. Video is not merely paused; it is never fetched, so the still frame is what loads. - Keyboard. A skip link is the first focusable element on every page. Navigation, dropdowns, the mobile drawer and all calls to action are reachable and operable by keyboard, and focus is visible.
- Structure. Every page declares its language, has exactly one
h1, and uses landmarks for header, navigation, main and footer, with headings in order. - Images and video. Every content image carries alt text. Decorative video loops are marked
aria-hiddenand carry no meaning that is not also in the surrounding text. - Independence from third parties. Fonts and scripts are self-hosted, so the site does not depend on a third-party server being reachable in order to render legibly.
04 Known Limitations
Stated plainly rather than omitted:
- Gold labels on the dark band. The section labels on the dark navy band measure 4.62:1. That clears AA for normal text, but it is the tightest margin on the site and would not clear AAA.
- Background video. Several sections use silent, looping video behind or beside content. It carries no information and stops entirely under reduced motion, but it cannot be paused by a control when motion is allowed.
- Automated testing only. The assessment described below is machine measurement. The site has not yet been tested by people using screen readers or other assistive technology in their own environments, and that is the gap we consider most significant.
05 How This Was Assessed
Programmatic checks run against every page at 390px, 768px and 1440px viewport widths, covering computed contrast against resolved backgrounds, computed font sizes, horizontal overflow, language attributes, heading structure, alternative text, and accessible names for controls.
Last assessed 1 August 2026. This statement is reviewed when the design changes materially.
